Handmade in Wisconsin

Handmade in Wisconsin since 1986.

Mikutowski Woodworking has been making hardwood boxes in Wisconsin since 1986. Lead designer and maker Danny and our small team pick every board for grain, figure, and the way it catches the light — no stain, no shortcuts, just solid hardwood and hand-cut joinery.

Good questions

Will I receive the exact box in the photos?
Yes. Every Signature box is photographed individually — the box you see, with its exact grain, figure, and detailing, is the one that arrives at your door.
What makes this box 'Signature'?
Special wood species, striking grain, inlays, checker patterns, and creative combinations. Danny personally selects boards that stand out and builds them into boxes with extra character.
Can I have it engraved, and what does it cost?
Yes, and personalization is free. Add names, dates or a short message right on this page, above the add-to-cart button. It adds no extra lead time.
How much is shipping?
Nothing, anywhere in the contiguous US: shipping is free on every order, with no minimum. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, etc. is calculated at checkout.
Who actually makes my box?
Every box is made in the Mikutowski Woodworking shop in Wisconsin — the same workshop since 1986. Our small team, led by designer and maker Danny, picks the boards, cuts the joinery, and finishes each box by hand.
