The 2 inch thick solid natural Cherry and timeless stainless carriage bolt accents make a wonderfully simply but dramatic piece. Perfect for those homes that are full on farmhouse or even those looking for a piece that is a bit "old world" and homey.

As always, are pieces are truly handmade and never stained. Each piece is finished with a clear coat to help protect and bring out the wood's natural beauty. 

Some assembly required. Table top is shipped detached from the base. Base will require assembly. All instructions and hardware will be included. Holes for assembly are predrilled.

Mikutowski Woodworking has been making hardwood boxes in Wisconsin since 1986. Lead designer and maker Danny and our small team pick every board for grain, figure, and the way it catches the light — no stain, no shortcuts, just solid hardwood and hand-cut joinery.

Will my box look exactly like the photos?
The design, dimensions and wood combination will match exactly. The photos are representative: every board is unique, so the grain and figure on your box will be yours alone. No two are ever the same.
Is a Classic box lower quality than Signature?
Not at all. Same joinery, same hands, same hand-applied finish. Signature boxes add rare wood species and decorative details — Classic keeps it beautifully simple.
Can I have it engraved, and what does it cost?
Yes, and personalization is free. Add names, dates or a short message right on this page, above the add-to-cart button. It adds no extra lead time.
How much is shipping?
Nothing, anywhere in the contiguous US: shipping is free on every order, with no minimum. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico ship for a flat $70.
Who actually makes my box?
Every box is made in the Mikutowski Woodworking shop in Wisconsin — the same workshop since 1986. Our small team, led by designer and maker Danny, picks the boards, cuts the joinery, and finishes each box by hand.
